Inn Public

The Duke in Deptford is owned and managed by Inn Public, a small group of related, but very individual pubs in South-East London, each place with a vibrant life of its own.

While cherishing their distinctiveness, we believe that some things should always be the same. Every time and anywhere you visit us, you will find that our welcome is warm, the drinks are cold, and the food is delicious.

In our pubs you will meet great people, staff and customers alike, so you will always be in good company.

We’ve been around for over 10 years now and you reward us by coming back and letting us look after you every day.

Our mission is to never stop trying hard to be exciting and different, as well as comfortable and familiar – your favourite local.

The Original and Still the Best! South London DJ Collective The Vinyl Countdown were in the vanguard of the recent vinyl revival, starting their eponymous Bring-Your-Own Record night at the newly-reopened Crown Pub SE10 in the spring of 2014. Now, of course, you can hear and play vinyl music everywhere, but no one else brings you such an eclectic mix of Punk, Glam, Rock n Roll, Disco, Ska, Funk and Indie tunes. From the 50s to the 90s and beyond, they’ve always got something to suit everyone’s taste.

Since that beginning, they’ve expanded to include a summer residency, playing ‘Lazy Sunday Afternoons’ – chilled-out tunes in the Crown garden – and a regular slot at Park It in the Market, the award-winning Classic Car, Bike and Rock n Roll night in Greenwich Market. Also available for weddings, funerals and general celebrations!

Which brings us to Deptford Decades – a brand-new, old-skool nite, alternating 70s/80s, at The Duke Deptford combining the best familiar floor-fillers from each decade with some lesser-known gems and a sprinkling of “Wow – I’d forgotten this, I used to love it!” moments, that are sure to get you dancing… or at least tapping your feet!
